Rey Mysterio Injury Confirmed, But It’s Not Serious!

For about a week now rumors have been swirling about Rey Mysterio suffering an injury to his bicep at an independent show recently. We have not written anything about this because the injury had yet to be confirmed and because we were very amused by most other sites reporting non-stop about whether or not the injury would affect contract negotiations between Rey and the WWE that haven’t even begun yet (although both parties will probably be sitting down together to discuss a deal in a month or so when Rey has finished all his current bookings).

However, we can now confirm that Rey Mysterio did suffer a grade one bicep strain, which is basically just a badly pulled muscle and will not be required to take any time away from the ring to heal!

Sir Mitch Says: Rey must have breathed a HUGE sigh of relief when he got this diagnosis. Not only does he have talks with WWE coming up soon regarding a return, but he is also booked on NJPW’s Strong Style Evolved show against the Living Legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger in what could very well be Liger’s last match in the U.S.
