Triple H is set to make a major announcement concerning the future of WWE’s UK brand during next month’s United Kingdom Tournament. In an interview with the Daily Mirror, he said “While we are there at this UK event at the Royal Albert Hall, we will be making some announcements about the future of the UK Championship brand there in the UK and moving forward.” He adds, “It will be meaningful to everybody there…and I look forward to showcasing the UK talent to the world.”
He admits that it’s taken some time – long than he’d have liked – to get the brand off the ground.
It’s quite possible that he may reference regular TV tapings and even Pay Per Views there. It’s already known that WWE has plans to bring the Performance Center concept to other countries so that could also be part of his planned announcement.
Botch Take: The UK title is hardly ever defended where we can see it which is a real shame. Pete Dunne is an incredible performer and I love watching his matches. The title would mean significantly more if he could be seen defending it more. As of now, it’s practically a prop. Here’s hoping Triple H’s announcement changes that.
