WWE was rumored to hold a huge show in Austrailia, but we hadn’t heard anything else about it other than a rumor and a passing mention on Raw which seemed to confirm it. We didn’t know when it would happen or any other details, but it looks like now we have our answer.
On Saturday, October 6th WWE will hold WWE Super Show-Down in the historic 100,000 seat Melbourne Cricket Ground. This is a huge area of space that is going to be packed with fans to see WWE Superstars and legends perform in a country where WWE has been unable to sell out 10,000 seat venues in recent years!

In an interesting note, Ronda Rousey and John Cena were advertised as was The Big Show, Shawn Michaels, and Kurt Angle but the capper is that Triple H and The Undertaker are set to face each other in one final match which Vince McMahon promises will end an iconic era.
Sir Mitch Says: As I said months ago, I don’t think WWE can come close to selling out “the G” as it’s known affectionately in Melbourne! Pro Wrestling while growing in popularity every year in Australia is still a VERY niche product here when compared to North America, Mexico, and Japan.
More to the point WWE is struggling to sell tickets in 15,000 seat arenas in said countries at the moment, so this feels like bad timing to try and pull this off!
