Sami Zayn is set to be out for the rest of 2018 after suffering two torn rotator cuffs to both of his shoulders. His right shoulder has been injured for some time and he has been working through it and his left shoulder has started to act up recently. Zayn told WWE.com that his left shoulder hasn’t been the same since he had surgery on it a while back and that is has gotten progressively worse since. Zayn had surgery on his right shoulder this week and will require surgery on his left shoulder in six or seven weeks. He will be out for the remainder of the year but he is hopeful to be back during the first quarter of 2019. He said, “I think timeline wise, I should be ready in time for WrestleMania, so fingers crossed.”
S.A.M.’s Spiel: I cannot help but feel bad for Sami because he has come into his own since turning heel. He has both of his shoulders injured and now it makes sense why his feud with Bobby Lashley lacked any physicality and why their match at Money in The Bank was lackluster. I wish him a speedy recovery and that he can come back stronger and better than ever in 2019.
