Here are the results from NWA’s 70th Anniversary Show:
Samuel Shaw def. Sammy Guevara, Colt Cabana, and Scorpio Sky (Four-way Elimination Match A for vacant NWA National Heavyweight Championship)
Barrett Brown def. Laredo Kid
Willie Mack def. Jay Bradley, Mike Parrow, and Ricky Starks (Four-way Elimination Match B for vacant NWA National Heavyweight Championship)
Tim Storm def. Peter Avalon (Kiss My Foot Match)
Jazz (c) def. Penelope Ford to retain the NWA World Women’s Championship
Willie Mack def. Samuel Shaw to win the vacant NWA National Heavyweight Championship
Jax Dane and Crimson (with Road Warrior Animal) def. Shannon Moore and Crazzy Steve (with Jocephus, Hollywood, and The Spiritual Advisor)
Nick Aldis def. Cody Rhodes (c) to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (Best Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match). Aldis won the first fall and Cody won the second one. The first fall was a brawl around the arena. The second fall featured tables and the third fall was wrestled in a traditional style. Rhodes had a roll-up on Aldis, but it was reversed and Rhodes’ shoulders were pinned to the mat. This is Aldis’ 2nd NWA title reign.
S.A.M.’s Spiel: I must say that I am quite surprised Aldis won the title back so soon. I would have thought that the NWA would have Cody hold on to the belt for at least the rest of 2018. Willie Mack is a great talent and good to see him win the NWA National Heavyweight Championship.
