10 Pounds Of Gold – Marty Scurll Challenges Nick Aldis For NWA Title

Marty Scurll, The Villain, will be the next challenger to face Nick Aldis for the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Announced on Twitter just this evening, Aldis asked Scurll to be his partner at the upcoming Crockett Cup Tag Team Tournament being held this April. Scurll then asked Aldis if he wanted to defend the NWA title.

This is an unexpected but, on paper, really solid matchup. The NWA Title is enjoying relevance again – being carried and defended by Nick Aldis. Marty Scurll has struck out on his own, establishing Villain Enterprises (Brody King and PCO), a group we’ll see in the Crockett Cup. For those who may not know, Marty Scurll is no stranger to championships and key victories. He won the 2016 Battle Of Los Angeles (PWG), the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title, the RevPro Heavyweight Title, and the ROH TV Title. If anyone was on the fence about attending the April event in Charlotte, NC, this may be the decision maker for you.
