Double Or Nothing, All Elite Wrestling’s first show since coming together as a wrestling company, has sold out all their general release tickets in four minutes. The pre-sale tickets that went on sale Monday were sold out just as quickly. They had over 40,000 requests for pre-sale codes, well above the number of tickets that were released, well above the number of tickets available for this event. Check out my earlier article about the pre-sale of AEW’s Double Or Nothing. https://wrestleroyalty.com/2019/02/11/aew-double-or-nothing-pre-sale-tickets-sell-out-immediately/
Big names in AEW have taken to Twitter to tout their success, specifically Cody Rhodes. Brandi, The Young Bucks, and Frankie Kazarian have all taken to Twitter to celebrate this huge next step in AEW.
• Tickets purchased from all 50 states domestically(plus Puerto Rico / D.C)
• 9 countries. Canada, UK, Mexico, Australia, Costa Rica, Finland, Germany, Panama, Austria
• 1st same day sellout for pro-wrestling in Vegas ever!
Thank you fans for going “all in” on this dream. pic.twitter.com/F5oi8A7uDu

QD – There have been so many questions about whether AEW could have sold out a much larger event location. There is talk that AEW might be looking at the TIAA Field in Jacksonville, Florida for a future show as the Kahn’s own that location and wouldn’t have to pay for the venue. Cody, Brandi, Nick and Matt Jackson, and the Khans have taken the ball and has run with it in a way I honestly never thought we would see. We are seeing the dawning of a new wrestling era, something that not only will but is changing the landscape of the pro wrestling industry. When we opened Wrestle Royalty, I was worried that the WWE and other wrestling companies were in a holding pattern, not getting better, not staying with the times and that we might not stay excited enough about the wrestling industry to make WR fun, exciting, and keep us charged up and excited enough to make WR the success I know it can be. Cody, Brandi, Nick, Matt and the rest have not only made wrestling into something new and fresh, but they are also forcing all the other wrestling companies to step up and put out a better product for the fans and the wrestlers. I honestly never thought we would see a new wrestling company with the financial backing and wrestling knowhow to put the screws to the WWE, yet here it is and they are killing it!
