This past week on Raw we saw Ronda Rousey snap, turn heel, and attack Becky Lynch in the ring. The whole time Ronda did this she was yelling and screaming, ranting, and ripping apart anyone and everyone at all involved in her WWE character, including but not limited to Becky Lynch, Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon, the WWE Universe, and the WWE as a whole.
Since then Ronda released an episode of her vlog, Ronda On The Road. In the vlog Ronda went off on a rant, ripping apart everyone involved, cussing out everyone, and claiming that she completely dropped kayfabe for that segment. In Ronda’s eloquent way she was saying it was her version of a pipebomb.
“Becky pissed me off the most recently,” Rousey said. “You know what? I’m not going to even call her Becky. Rebecca Quinn talked s*** about my husband, and I told her I’d beat the f*** out of her next time I saw her. And guess what I beat the f*** out of her, didn’t I? It’s been building up in me since Survivor Series, 100%”
“It wasn’t a promo. [WWE] gave me other things to say I didn’t f***ing say it,” Rousey said. “It’s not a promo. It’s not an act. I’m not going out there and doing their f***ing act anymore, I’m going out there and doing whatever the hell I want. And they can explain it however they want, but f***em. Everybody. WWE Universe included. I meant that I’m going to disrespect the sport that they all love so much. ‘Ohhhh don’t break kayfabe Ronda!’ Wrestling is scripted. It’s made up. It’s not real. None of those b ****** can f***ing touch me. The end.”
QD – Ronda makes me giddy! I was thrilled with her break on Raw because the rushed and stuttering works really well for her heel turn. She’s pissed, she’s frustrated, and while she’s been worked over hard by Becky on Twitter, this feels like a great slap back on her, the WWE, and the WWE Universe. I love that she went all rough around the edges with her promo and vlog because that’s who she is. She’s not the perky cheerleader from a great home, so why should she try to act like she is. Most of us know that she hasn’t had an easy life, so it’s time the WWE let her run with it. I cannot wait to see what she does at Fastlane, Raw, and WM!
