A bit of a theme here at WrestleRoyalty.com recently, last week we talked to Jared Silberkleit, and this week, another manager/advisor, we had a great discussion with Baron Von Vito. The Baron is the right hand and royal advisor for Northeast Wrestling mainstay King Brian Anthony, and the NEW Tag Team Champions, the Royal Court.
King Brian has a very special match on Friday, April 26. He will be competing at NEW’s biggest event of the year, WrestleFest XXIII, and facing a very special opponent…..David Arquette. Yes, THAT David Arquette. For the past year, Arquette has been bouncing around the independent scene throughout the United States, he trained with Peter Avalon (who you’ve seen in BTE and is known for his work with Championship Wrestling From Hollywood), he’s faced talents like RJ City and Nick Gage, and is looking to end on ongoing feud with King Brian when they face off on April 26.
Arquette faced the Postmodern Pro Wrestler RJ City in his first match back in 2018 (Arquette lost that match) and they’ve worked together as a tag team
“I wrestled him in his first match back and we now inexplicably have an undefeated streak as a team (including for Impact and House Of Hardcore), despite the fact that I still cannot stand him. He is insane – he has the energy of a 12 year old in the body of a grizzled 12 year old. Every wrestler is a little crazy (it’s not a normal thing to do to yourself), so to risk a successful acting career to wrestle, continually get your ass kicked and THEN ask for more, he’s definitely the toughest person I’ve ever been in the ring with. And the most immature.”
Baron Von Vito had a lot to say about Arquette, or as they call him “The Hollywood Chicken”, the feud between King Brian and Arquette, involving Arquette’s birthday last year, tag team matches involving Shane Helms and Jerry Lawler, and their recent encounter at WrestleCon in NYC during Mania weekend. We also discussed The Royal Court’s upcoming tag team title match facing off against “the Rare Breed” Keith Youngblood and WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry “The King Lawler”, NEWs other tag teams looking for an opportunity, and how long he things the match between King Brian and David Arquette will last
WrestleFest happens on Friday, April 26 at the Danbury PAL in Danbury, CT
