All Elite Wrestling’s television deal will be announced next week, according to a report by The Wrap.
The story notes that the long rumoured AEW-Turner Television deal is “virtually done” and the plan is to announce the TV deal an hour before WarnerMedia’s Upfront presentation on Wednesday.
Also, according to the report, AEW President Tony Khan will be there along with several AEW signed wrestlers in Madison Square Garden to pitch to advertisers. The presentation begins at 10 am Eastern in the U.S.
It looks like the plan is to start airing the weekly AEW show this fall on either TBS or TNT. AEW had registered the Tuesday Night Dynamite trademark months ago so that is probably an indication of which night the show will air each week.
Sir Mitch Says: This is in line with everything I have been hearing recently regarding AEW’s TV deal. However, it should be noted that The Wrap has been going back and forth with its reporting on AEW with first claiming AEW will be paying for TV time then reporting otherwise to reporting that AEW would not be a part of WarnerMedia’s Upfront presentation to advertisers to now saying it will be.
So we will just have to wait and see!
