Former WWE manager Terri Runnels was arrested on Wednesday at Tampa International Airport, according to TMZ.
The report notes that police arrested her at 7:32 am for “carrying a concealed firearm,” which is a class 3 felony.
The charge carries up to 5 years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines. Runnels was jailed with a $2,000 bond set and she is still there as of this writing.
Runnels worked in WCW as Alexandra York in the early 90s but most wrestling fans would remember her for her run in the late 90s as Marlena. She eventually dropped the Marlena gimmick and went on to manage names like Edge, Christian, and The Hardy Boyz. She is also the ex-wife of AEW star Dustin Rhodes.
UPDATE: Here’s Terri’s side of things via video. Appears to have been a simple mistake:

Sir Mitch Says: I can’t fathom why anyone outside of law enforcement or the military would think they would need to carry a firearm in public…but then again I’m not American! But in all seriousness, Terri is facing very serious charges and I don’t see any way for her to avoid going to prison.
Botch Take (after update): Seems to have been a simple mistake. Little to see here, really. I doubt much of anything will come of this.
