Kacy Catanzaro Reportedly Leaves WWE

According to a report from Squared Circle Sirens, Kacy Catanzaro has decided to leave WWE. The reason for her decision is reportedly due to a back injury and she has decided to leave the business.

Catanzaro signed a WWE contract in January of 2018 and she gained some mainstream press because she was on American Ninja Warrior. She competed in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, losing to Rhea Ripley in the second round of the tournament. She was also a surprise competitor in the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble. She had been regularly featured at NXT live events and had made multiple appearances on NXT television. Her final match was at a live event on July 19 when she teamed with Lacey Lane to defeat Marina Shafir and Taynara Conti. Her last TV match was in June and it was a loss to Io Shirai.

Catanzaro has not made an official statement on the matter and neither has WWE at this time.

S.A.M.’s Spiel: This is such a shame that an injury has potentially stopped Kacy from pursuing a career in WWE. She had tremendous upside and we all hope she is able to recover from this injury, even if it means she cannot wrestle any longer.
