AEW Dynamite drew 1.018 million viewers (down from 1.409 million viewers last week) and drew a 0.46 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic (down from 0.68 last week).
NXT drew 790,000 viewers (down from 891,000 last week) and drew a 0.22 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic (down from 0.32 last week).
Both shows lost viewership due to the MLB games, LA vs Washington and Atlanta vs St. Louis. AEW was the 8th watched show on cable while NXT was the 27th watched show on cable.
AEW also brought in 122,000 views from Tru TV simulcasting the show.
QD – It’s not at all surprising that the ratings for both shows have gone down after that first week, especially with how baseball-centric people are in the USA. Personally I love watching baseball live and in person, but usually find it bores me to tears on TV. I can honestly say that the last time I watched any MLB games was when the Red Sox won the World Series for the first time in decades. I guess it’s just not really my thing, but I completely understand why people love the game.
