NWA most recent episode of “NWA Powerrr” was temporarily off-line due to some comments by commentator, Jim Cornette. The problem quote occurred during a non-title match between Nick Aldis and Trevor Murdoch. Cornette attempted to describe the strength and courage of Murdoch with the words, “He’s the only man I’ve ever known that can strap a bucket of fried chicken on his back and ride a motor scooter across Ethiopia,”. This went over badly on social media and NWA was forced to issue an apology – an apology which was forthcoming with unusually quick speed:
On tonight's episode of NWA Powerr airing on November 19th 2019, one of our talents made comments which some viewers found offensive. We deeply regret the error and apologize.
We have temporarily taken the program down while we correct this error.

The episode was briefly taken down, the offending words removed, and the program re-uploaded.
Botch Take: This isn’t his first go-around with this. Taken as just a commentator and forgetting who Cornette actually is, he’s done a very good job in the role. Still, they’re SEVEN episodes in and they’re having issues with the things Cornette says. I know they’re desperately bent on the whole nostalgia thing but Cornette clearly isn’t the right guy to have along for the ride. ‘Course, in my honest opinion, the issues NWA Powerrr has are FAR deeper than just a commentator. The show continues to be terrible – desperate to make me believe anyone on the show is an actual star. I don’t care about anyone and the show is stillborn, IMHO.
