Latest Wednesday Night War Ratings

The latest ratings have come out for Wednesday and AEW topped NXT once again.

Wednesday’s taped edition of Dynamite on TNT, filmed on Chris Jericho’s cruise, drew 871,000 viewers while NXT drew 769,000 viewers on the USA Network, according to Showbuzz Daily.

AEW ranked #8 in the Cable Top 150, while NXT ranked #35. AEW ranked #40 in viewership, while NXT ranked #42 in viewership.

Last week’s Dynamite episode drew 940,000 viewers and ranked #5 in the Cable Top 150, and #29 in viewership. Last week’s NXT episode drew 700,000 viewers and ranked #31 in the Cable Top 150, and #39 in viewership.

AEW drew a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic while NXT drew a 0.24 in the same demo this week. Last week’s AEW show drew a 0.38 rating while the NXT episode drew a 0.21 in that demographic.

S.A.M.’s Spiel: AEW’s ratings did drop from last week, but we can probably attribute that to the fact that is was taped and people we aware of spoilers. NXT saw a rise this week and I feel like NXT had the stronger show this week. I will say though that eyes may have gone away from NXT and AEW because of the Pelicans/Spurs game because it was the NBA debut of Zion Williamson. Either way, it is fun to see both shows doing well and there is no need for any of us to choose sides.
