Three Top AEW Stars Injured

After last night’s Dynamite, three superstars have come away with injuries, all of which are scheduled to be in matches at Double or Nothing this Saturday.

Firstly, Rey Fenix landed badly on his hip during a brawl after his match with Orange Cassidy. You can clearly see (and hear) him hit the ground quite viciously and had to be moved by the others to the apron to avoid anyone dropping on him. Luckily, it’s being reported that it’s not as bad as it seems and Fenix should be cleared to compete in the Casino Ladder Match.

Next is Britt Baker, when Nyla Rose was dropped awkwardly onto Britt’s knee during the tag team match with Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander. It looks as though Shida slipped during a double team move on Nyla, which caused her to fall directly onto Britt’s knee. It’s been reported that while the extent of the injury is unknown, it looks bad and could be quite serious.

Finally in the last segment on Dynamite, the Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) made their return to help Matt Hardy and Kenny Omega against the Inner Circle; they dived onto Santana and Ortiz, which is when Matt Jackson injured his ribs. It’s unknown how bad the injury is, but could be anywhere from bruised to broken ribs, however, until an x-ray is done, we won’t know the extent.

Lord Lewis Dictates: Well this is just the worst timing for these guys, with it being just three days away from Double or Nothing! It seems Baker will more than likely be out and Matt Jackson may end up in a reduced role in the match, or taken out completely. Thankfully Fenix seems okay, but when I saw him hit the floor I honestly thought the worst.
