It is being reported by Dave Meltzer that Mauro Ranallo is leaving WWE.
There aren’t many details available right now on what prompted this. Ranallo was not at last week’s NXT and or at TakeOver: XXX. At TakeOver, Corey Graves filled in for him there and Wade Barrett filled in for him last Wednesday night. Ranallo reportedly had to fly back to Canada to tend to a family issue but that has not been confirmed.
Update: WWE has confirmed the news on their socials:
WWE and Mauro Ranallo have mutually and amicably agreed to part ways. Mauro’s passion and enthusiasm left an indelible and exciting mark with WWE and its fans, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. https://t.co/9y99UhfRhl

UPDATE: Mauro has issued a statement. It reads as follows:
I appreciate the opportunity I had to realize my childhood dream of working in sports entertainment, and I wish WWE well in the future. Now I want to direct my focus and devote my time to my other projects and to my mental health charitable activities and the well-being of my mother and myself.
Sir Mitch Says: Ranallo has been open with his battles with Bi-Polar disorder and he has had issues with fellow commentators JBL and Corey Graves in the past that has caused him to require mental health breaks. I sincerely hope he is well and in a good place.
