Welcome back to the second ever Royalty of the Ring and this time the women do battle to crown our first Queen. So without further ado let’s dive into the first match of the tournament.
It’s simple, really. Bianca is the most athletic woman alive. If you saw her at the NXT Combine a couple of years ago, you already know this is true. She obliterated the female competition and hung with the men until the bitter end. Bianca also made quite the impression in NXT…and she was trained by the Performance Center. She hadn’t had two seconds of time in the ring prior to coming to WWE. She came to WWE as an all-around athlete who gave up powerlifting due to “shifting rib syndrome”. That diagnosis convinced her to begin wrestling. She has charisma for days, incredible presence, and she can go in the ring. She also makes not only her ring gear, but also that of her husband, Montez Ford. Bianca quite clearly has it all and Raw has finally begun to run vignettes advertising her proper arrival. I absolutely cannot wait for her to win this competition because she’s absolutely the only intelligent choice.
Vote for Bianca…your mother would be proud.
Finding WWE matches on YouTube to link here isn’t easy because WWE holds a tight grip on its properties as we all know. Still, this is a good one. Here’s Bianca Belair vs. Ruby Riott – two women who’ve both been criminally underused up to this point – showing us why that shouldn’t be the case.
In May 2020 the Pro Wrestling world lost what would have been one of the biggest international’s stars of all time in Hana Kimura at the age of 22.
The young standout of World Wonder Ring Stardom in Japan was already a household name to many in the IWC and that was for a good reason. She was stunningly beautiful, could cut great promos in both Japanese and English, was a second-generation wrestler, and she had a level of in-ring skill someone her age just shouldn’t be able to show.
With a life that was cut so tragically short, Hana still managed to produce a body of work that should be remembered forever. The match that I have picked for this edition of Royalty Of The Ring is the last high profile match of Hana’s career. Hana vs Giulia was a corker of a match with a future Title opportunity on the line.
Giulia has a reputation in Japan for her rough physical style, and Hana proved she could hang with brawlers with the best of them. But more than that, this match shows just how good Hana was at every aspect of Pro Wrestling. From working for the crowd, getting heat, getting a pop, making herself and her opponent look good, crisp execution of moves and being able to look like you have a mean streak as well as be able to take a pounding.
This match not only proves who should win this round… It proves who should win this whole tournament!
Rest In Power Hana, you would have been one of the all-time greats!
Our competitors have now said their piece, now it’s time for you to make your vote. Please vote based on what you’ve read and seen here. Let’s make this a fair tournament! (Poll ends Friday October 9th, at 8pm ET).
