Sometime yesterday, WWE pulled all of Sting’s merchandise from their website. This is most likely due to him not having been under contract since April 2020, and the merchandise portion of his contract is now expired. Once that happens, WWE is no longer obligated to continue selling the merchandise. A similar situation happened earlier this year regarding Brock Lesnar after his contract expired following his match at WrestleMania.
It was believed that Sting was going to at minimum negotiate a new deal, specifically for merchandise and likeness usage, but that has never materialized. Sting was included in the WWE 2K20 game, but not in the WWE Battleground game that was released early this year. Recently, rumors were swirling during the mid-summer that he may sign with AEW or Impact, but those proved to be false.
