WWE Smackdown – Live Coverage And Results

Smackdown Results:

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman make their way out to the ring and Roman talks about how his influence is unmatched. He talks about how he has helped make his cousin Jey Uso a relevant player on Smackdown. Roman talks about Randy Orton and how he respects his accomplishments but not the man. Drew McIntyre then interrupts and he talks about how it has been some time since they last saw each other. Drew tells Roman that he will beat Randy Orton on Monday and will take him on at Survivor Series. He then recalls how he eliminated Roman in the Royal Rumble and went on to defeat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. He continues to talk about how he will beat Roman at Survivor Series after he beats Randy. Roman then addresses Drew and says that nobody knows who Drew is since he came back and everybody watches Smackdown, not Raw. The two continue their back and forth and have a stare down. Jey Uso then runs in and tells Roman that he has this and gets in Drew’s face. Jey challenges Drew to a match and Drew accepts. 

Sami Zayn is in the ring prior to his match with Apollo Crews and complains that he was informed of this match too late. He complains about the prep time he had for the match and says they are trying to sabotage him. He plans on turning this into an opportunity to show the difference between an Intercontinental Champion and a US Champion. He continues his rant until Apollo comes out for the match.

Sami Zayn def. Apollo Crews to retain the Intercontinental Championship

Drew McIntyre is backstage talking to Adam Pearce and the two talk about Drew taking on Jey Uso. They share some words and then Drew reemphasizes that he wants Jey tonight and Pearce goes to make it happen.

Rey Mysterio is interviewed with the Mysterio Family and he talks about his feud with Seth and what it has done to his family. Rey continues to talk about it and how it will all be settled in one final match. Rey promises to send Seth back to where he belongs.

Sasha Banks makes her way out to the ring as Smackdown goes to commercial.

Smackdown comes back from commercial and Sasha Banks is in the ring and talks about how she was able to defend the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Sasha says she is on top of her game and that the women in the back are on notice. She starts to talk about Carmella but is interrupted by Bayley. Carmella then attacks Sasha from behind and beats her downs in the ring.

Otis is at catering and he is chowing down on some food. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode then walk in and are making fun of Otis and how Tucker betrayed him. They look over at Otis and he flips the table as Smackdown goes to commercial.

Otis is backstage and he is approached by Chad Gable. Gable tells him that he should be doing that every week and he needs a mentor. He hands him a flyer for his academy and Otis agrees to attend it.

Rey Mysterio def. Seth Rollins

Adam Pearce is in his office and Natalya comes in to complain about not being simply named to the Smackdown Women’s Survivor Series team. Pearce informs her that her triple threat match is next and Natalya leaves in a huff. Chelsea Green then appears before Smackdown goes to commercial.

Seth Rollins is backstage and bangs on Adam Pearce’s office. He says he wants Murphy and demands Pearce gives him the chance to destroy him before leaving.

Liv Morgan def. Tamina, Natalya and Chelsea Green to earn a spot on the Smackdown Women’s Survivor Series team

Drew McIntyre is interviewed about his match with Jey Uso and he talks about how Jey has been beating former champions. He says he plans on sending a message to Randy Orton at the expense of Jey.

Big E is backstage and the Street Profits approach him. They talk about how they crossed a line with him last week and present him with some food that are shaped like an L. They tell Big E that they will serve L’s to the New Day at Survivor Series as long as they defeat the Hurt Business. Big E then calls the Street Profits a light version of the New Day and that everybody will know how the New Day is better than them.

Drew McIntyre def. Jey Uso. McIntyre has a stare down with Roman Reigns after the match.
