Chelsea Green made he long awaited debut on Smackdown, but it did not go the way she intended it to.
Green was involved in a qualifying match that featured Tamina, Natalya and Liv Morgan. After getting kicked off the apron by Morgan about a minute into the match, Green stayed on the outside. It was later confirmed she broke her left wrist and headed to the hospital shortly after.
Green suffered the same injury in 2019 during her NXT run and was out of action for three months.
Green took to Twitter to give an update on the injury as well.
Just like the rest of my career, I couldn’t have an easy debut! LOL, that just wouldn’t be fit for my wild journey.
I’m headed into surgery now. I am beyond devastated but so excited to be a part of @WWE team SmackDown, when I get back! 💙

S.A.M.’s Spiel: Well this certainly sucks for Chelsea Green. It is freaky that the same type of injury would happen to Green on Smackdown that happened in NXT. We all give our best wishes to Green in her recovery from this injury and that she can come back better than ever as well because she is an extremely talented wrestler.
