Who’s ready for one of the biggest nights of the year? WWE Survivor Series is nearly here, but until then, it’s time for your royal staff to make their predictions.
I had really hoped that Otis being announced for this match would change before SD was over, but it didn’t. Otis is such an odd pick for this match, but we thought he was an odd winner for MITB, and we see how that went! Beyond Otis, I’m really excited to see how this one plays out. There is greatness, young and established wrestlers in this match on both teams. I might have said Team SD was a bit lighter than Team Raw, but Jey has turned a corner, and KO always gives his best in every match, even if he’s hating the feud or storyline. KO, Corbin and Rollins are all strong, but not as strong as Sheamus, Lee, Braun, Riddle, and AJ – in my opinion. I really think this could go either way, but as much as I love SD, I think the last man standing will either be Lee or Riddle. They are the two who would benefit from it most. Then again, Ziggy was last man standing one year and looked to be on the edge of a serious push and it all crumbled, as Ziggy’s pushes do. So I’m going against my own show and saying that Team Raw is going to dominate this one this year.
Queen’s Predicted Winners – Team Raw
This match intrigues me, but that is really because Team Raw is so dysfunctional. I honestly do not care much about the Smackdown team because I don’t find them to be as interesting as Raw. I guess that’s because Raw has dedicated time to them, whereas Smackdown barely finalized the team on the go-home. This match could be fun and I do expect a game of one-upmanship to happen at some point with the Raw team. I hope this match is fun because they certainly have members on both sides that can bring it.
The Winners: Team Raw
Team Raw can’t get along for anything and I have been loving it. I’ll actually miss them as a unit because of how dysfunctional they’ve been. It’s made for comedy gold. Oddly enough, they made no effort to promote this on the go-home Smackdown. So who wins? I think that dysfunction ruins their chances for a win so…
THE WINNAH! – TEAM SMACKDOWN
A great deal of emphasis has been placed on the fact that Raw just can’t seem to get on the same page, watching team Raw fight amongst themselves has been one of the most entertaining aspects of Raw the last few weeks. Despite the in-house bickering, I think when the chips are down they’ll finally come together in the end to take out Team Smackdown, which quite honestly has felt like an afterthought with very little focus placed on them heading into this Sunday.
WINNER: TEAM RAW
It’s easy to see that team Raw has had the more build, other than a few mentions from Kevin Owens, no one who’s qualified seems to care they’re in a team, while Raw been made to look really dysfunctional. Personally that means only one thing to me, team Raw will walk away winners, of course tensions will be teased once more, but their team building will be put to good use and Raw will walk away with a big victory over Smackdown.
Winners: Team Raw
This match is going to be insane as both teams are basically made to imploded from the inside out as team Raw with Sheamus doesn’t like Lee or Braun, and the same can be said about the other two, while Riddle is just going to be chilling out just waiting to fight in the ring. Team Smackdown has Kevin Owens, who doesn’t like Jey or Seth and Seth and Jey don’t like KO either and King Corbin (who just should have given Woods the crown and be done with it) who doesn’t like Otis and Otis is just going to think about Thanksgiving food on the ropes.
Winner: Team Raw with Sole Survivor AJ Styles
I’ve known where I was going with this since Lana was added to Team Raw. Now that the final two members of Team SD have been announced, nothing has changed in my mind. I’m sure you can tell where I’m going, so I’m going to say I’m excited to see how these women leave it in the ring, because they are some of the best in the world. So here it is – before the match, or early in it, Lana goes through announce for the 10th time at Nia’s hands. Both teams will fight it out, until the end when Team SD thinks they won only to have Lana come back and win it all as the only woman standing. I don’t know if they will, but it seems like what they’re setting up for.
Queen’s Predicted Winner – Team Raw
The story of this match will really be about Lana and if she actually contributes to the match. I feel like we will see Nia get eliminated before Lana, Lana laughs about it and she ends up getting put through the announce table by Nia again. Lana will then rise up at the end of the match and find herself as the sole Raw member left. I think she then ends up winning the match by pinning someone like Natalya and is the sole survivor. I really want that to happen and it could continue that story of her proving herself. I am fully on board the Lana train right now and I hope she isn’t just the first eliminated.
The Winners: Team Raw with Lana as sole survivor
Team Raw has been fun because of this unrelenting Lana hate. No one wants her on their team. I love her and I’m sure I’m not alone, which is what WWE is counting on. As much as I want to see Team SD win because of Bianca and Ruby, I think they’re gonna go with Lana getting the win here. Also, why Natalya?
THE WINNAH! – TEAM RAW
I’m very much looking forward to this match. The Nia Jax/Lana angle has quickly become a guilty pleasure of mine, and I’m sure Lana once again gets put through a table by Nia, which will continue into next month’s TLC PPV where I think Lana finally turns the table on Nia in a tables match *See what I did there*. On the Smackdown side of things, you have a brewing feud developing between Bianca & Bayley, which will for sure intensify during this match. Taking all these moving parts into consideration, I gotta believe that Team Smackdown wins here. On paper their team looks far more impressive.
WINNER: TEAM SMACKDOWN
Surely this is the most predictable of all the matches, right? Nia’s going to put Lana through the table early on in the match, the team will crumble and Lana will win the match as the sole survivor. It’s so right in front of us, that if they DON’T do that, then I’d have to wonder what the point was. As for the participants themselves, we have some great talent in there, it’s great to see Bianca Belair finally being used and I expect to see the start of a feud with Bayley in this match, perhaps Bayley costs Bianca the pin?
Winners: Team Raw
This match has potential to be good with the way both teams are set up and some feuds in both shows. Hopefully Bianca Belair will fight Shayna Baszler and hopefully the first person to be eliminated is Natalya, followed by Nia Jax. I hope that Belair gets good ring time and I hope that she will be the sole survivor.
Winner: Team Smackdown with Belair as Sole survivor
Oy, not this again! I didn’t enjoy their feud when Booby (typo intended, because I really think Lashley is the most boring boob on the Raw roster, possibly only surpassed by his fellow THB wrestler who has also returned to the WWE for his second run with the company) returned and his sisters were involved. It was lame then and I don’t expect much more from this match. Okay, Sami has been off the rails since his return and I’ve loved every bit of it, but facing someone as boring as Lashley can only bring him down as well. Not that he will need it, but I think this is one of a couple matches that will have people interfering. There’s no way THB won’t get involved in this one when Sami goes off the rails, because we all know he will. Personally I think this is a step back for Sami, but it’s Survivor Series and they’re going there in the only way they can through this pandemic. Sadly I see Booby pulling this one out, mostly because he has THB and Sami has alienated almost everyone.
Queen’s Predicted Winner – Lashley, unfortunately!
This is the match I have no real interest in. The match itself could be good, but I have my doubts. This will probably end up being the shortest match on the card and I would guess it follows whatever traditional Survivor Series match comes first. It does suck though because this could have had a fun build given that MVP is Lashley’s mouthpiece and that Zayn is a bunch of fun on the mic too. None of that ended up happening though and we ended up with a lackluster build.
The Winner: Bobby Lashley
George “The Animal” Steele has been a thorn in Bass’ side for what seems like forever now. It was really only when Steele decided to trade Bass’ bull rope for an unopened copy of Taylor Swift’s debut album that things really began to go off the rails. There’s no way this match doesn’t steal the night. Steele is deranged and Bass has a legitimate axe to grind. Add to that the shenanigans we’ll get from Bass having Sir Oliver Humperdinck in his corner and Steele, while I love him, doesn’t stand a chance.
THE WINNAH! – “COWBOY” RON BASS
On paper this may very well be the worst matchup possible. When I see it automatically takes me back to that God awful segment where Sami brought out some imposters to portray Lashley’s sister and the string of horrible Raw’s that followed. I feel the better option here would have been for Sami to drop the IC title to someone like Big E, so we could get a Big E/Lashley clash which is a far more intriguing matchup, but I digressed. Lashley gets the win here.
I was interested in this match when it was first built, but after Smackdown I’m fairly confident it’s going to be a quick loss for Sami Zayn. I don’t know why they felt it was a good idea to make the IC champ look weak and take the pin (when you had Ziggler and Roode there with no story) before going up against Bobby Lashley, it just screams that he’s about to job. I’d have rather seen Apollo win last week had I known they were going to make him look so weak. Don’t expect much, if anything from this match, as it won’t deliver.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Hopefully this match isn’t a short match and gets decent time with Sami getting a good amount of offense in the match. I can see Lashley dominating most of the match but that is if Sami goes out alone in which I don’t see him doing it. I wonder if the artist collection would get together to back up Sami in the match.
Winner Bobby Lashley
This is the match that I feel was most hurt by the pandemic and social distancing. It was great to see WWE taking this more seriously than they have in the past months, though that meant no crossing-over between the shows until the actual PPV. These are the two teams who would have made for some of the best mic segments of 2020 and not getting them going back and forth to build for this match has been a kick in the slats to them and the fans. That being said, they will absolutely put every bit of themselves and their craziness into this match and it’s one of the two I’m most excited about. I honestly never want to have to pick between these two teams, so I’m going with the younger team as they are the ones who need the push more than New Day, even though neither team needs the win to show their greatness. Hopefully they’re given enough time on mic before the match, and they’re allowed to go all out in the ring, because these four are some of the best in the company today.
Queen’s Predicted Winners – Street Profits
Now this has all the makings of being the absolute show stealer of Survivor Series. If they give this time, these two teams can absolutely kill it on Sunday. I have wanted these teams to meet in the ring for some time now and this is a nice preview as to what a real program can look like. I do wonder if we will see Big E come into play here or if he will just offer support for his New Day brethren. Either way, this is the one match I want to just sit back and watch and hope they give plenty of time to.
The Winners: The Street Profits
This will be the most amazing thing on this card. I have been DYING to see this since it was first announced. The amount of talent and charisma in that ring will be impossible to contain. I expect an absolutely fantastic match with enough in-match dialog to fill a “Moonlighting” script (ask your parents). I have no clue who wins, neither do I particularly care. Okay, a decision must be made. Incidentally, I hope Big E. makes some kind of an appearance here. He certainly should. Okay, I’m stalling. A win for New Day would be meaningless. A win for Street Profits would solidify them. So…
THE WINNAH! – STREET PROFITS
Picking a winner here is like the equivalent of asking a mother to choose between two of her kids. It’s completely unfair because I’m a huge fan of both these teams so this one is a struggle, but here goes. For the past several weeks The Street Profits have been trading passive aggressive shots with Big E regarding his former team members, so I think The Street Profits picking up a clean win over Xavier Woods/Kofi Kingston then gloating about it to Big E is a intriguing follow up, so if I’m forced to pick, I’m taking The Street Profits.
WINNER: THE STREET PROFITS
This is my match of the night, when WWE kept calling Survivor Series ‘Best of the Best’, this really is that. New Day and Street Profits for me are the two best teams in WWE – and yes I get that there isn’t a lot of teams right now, but they’ve both shined so brightly for so long. It’s impossible to call who will win, but I can guarantee we as the fans are the real winners. Since I’ve picked Raw three times now, I think I’m going to have to give Smackdown a win and so The Street Profits will pull off the victory against the New Day.
Winners: Street Profits
I’ve been looking forward to this match for a very long time now and it is finally here and it is going to be amazing to watch. The build up for this match has been great with Big E as the representative of New Day on Smackdown. The interaction between the two teams on Smackdown was great and the match is going to be just as great, or better between the two. I know that the winners of the match can be either of the two and I wouldn’t be mad at it and we all win just watching the match.
Winner Street Profits
I expect this to be one of three matches that could have some serious interference. I don’t see any way that Carmella will not get involved in this. It’s just how it is. There’s just too much going on with Sasha on SD for her match with Asuka to not have some external involvement. That being said, I’m excited to see what these two, being at the top of their shows, work the ring together. This being face versus face makes me that much more excited to see where they go. Both are such top-notch wrestlers, this is going to be a lot of fun before it all goes south, I mean Mella. Because of all the issues, Asuka will walk out of this one with the win, and Sasha will be that much more pissed at Mella.
Queen’s Predicted Winner – Asuka
The build for this match has not been the greatest but that does not mean the match will suffer. These two have done battle before and have solid chemistry as well. This totally has the makings of being a possible show stealer and these two are totally capable of that feat. I do wonder if Carmella will play a role in this since she has been attacking Sasha on a consistent basis since making her return. Asuka doesn’t have much to worry about on her side since she doesn’t really have anybody chasing her for the title. I expect a fun match here and will go with my gut on this one.
The Winner: Sasha Banks
Another one they’ve barely built so I have no reason to care. They made some pathetic attempt to go back to the old feud they had but it’s just too late. They’ll give us a really fun match for sure – no doubt in my mind. So this’ll basically be like an AEW women’s match. Yeah, I did it and I meant to…LOL! Who wins? Coin flip and such…
THE WINNAH! – Sasha Banks
Outside of tonight’s Smackdown, this match has had very little build. Sasha has been getting the short end of the stick lately, as she’s been attacked by Carmella week after week, but her title win over Bayley is still pretty fresh. I think a clean win over Asuka for Sasha is the likely outcome here as she heads into a program with Carmella. So for those reasons I’m picking Sasha to beat Asuka here in what should be a really good match.
WINNER: SASHA BANKS
The build has been totally off on this one. Asuka has barely been featured, while Sasha has been more involved with Bayley and now Carmella, to even care about Asuka. We finally get a little tease on Smackdown, but again, instead of building this match up, it was only setting up Sasha’s feud with Carmella. It will of course be a good match, but it’s hard to care when the build has been so little and a match we’ve seen a far few times this year. I’m going to go with Smackdown getting another win, maybe caused by a DQ from Carmella.
Winner: Sasha Banks
This match is going to be fire as they already have great chemistry in the ring as past matches have shown. They know each other weaknesses and strengths. This match is going to be crazy as they have to bring out new and old moves just to keep the other one guessing on what would happen next and I have no idea who would win other than the people watching.
This is the last match I expect some interference in. With Jey being Reign’s pet pit bull lately, I worry that he will get involved in some way and costing his cousin the match, which will piss him off to no end. Personally I think Drew needs this win so much more than Reigns does. Drew’s has a miraculous year, but in a lot of ways so has Reigns. Drew’s won the WWE Championship twice, his first at WM, coming off his horrible first run and years of growth, before returning as a top wrestler who deserves to be Champion in front of thousands of screaming fans. Reigns came back after his second bout with Leukemia, trying to stay healthy during Covid, but in a character that finally feels perfectly right for him, the first (for me) since he was with The Shield. His character, feuds and storylines have been amazing since he returned, bringing him to the top of the company in a way that actually feels organic for him. All that being said, I think this one will be a lot of strong arming and big moves. I really think Jey is going to try to help his cousin and costs him the match in some way.
Queen’s Predicted Winner – Drew McIntyre
I was intrigued by Orton/Reigns but I am ecstatic for McIntyre/Reigns. These two have obvious chemistry and I do not doubt that these two will do battle multiple times throughout their careers in WWE. Drew is living up to all his potential and Roman has thrived as a heel. Both men have that aura that you need to be a top tier champion and that just adds to this match. This is the match I am most looking forward to because this could be a real physical match in the best of ways.
The Winner: Roman Reigns
I get the feeling this was a bit of an accident. The Cul-de-Sacs have been saying that this was supposed to be Roman and Orton…until Drew & Roman met in the ring. Once they did, the chemistry was SOOO obvious that they just HAD to do this. I’m glad for it too. This is doing to be so much fun. One only wonders if Jey will interfere in some way. Wanna know who wins? WE do! Still, I have to really pick one so I will. Roman has been on such a well-deserved hot streak, I’m thinking he gets this one.
THE WINNAH – Roman Reigns
There’s a whole lot to unpack here. But first and foremost I wanna say that it was completely the right call to put the belt back on Drew. McIntyre & Roman have been the two most protected workers in the company. This very much feels like the irresistible force vs the unmovable object, and not only that, but as I first stated above there are a lot of variables here. Miz still has the briefcase and seems to have a bone to pick with Drew so the threat of a cash in is there, Sheamus also seems to be headed towards a program with Drew aswell. But I think Daniel Bryan will actually be the outside factor that determines the result here, he was brutality attacked by Jey a few weeks ago then to close SD tonight he exacted a small measure of revenge on Jey to close SmackDown, which leads me to believe that we’re getting Bryan/Roman very soon. Drew McIntyre gets the win with a small assist from Bryan
WINNER: DREW MCINTYRE
Unlike many I’m sure, I was actually excited for Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton, these two have had such a phenomenal year in their careers and really revitalised themselves. I do understand that heel vs heel isn’t always the most compelling, but I was invested… That was until Smackdown. Holy hell, what a way to build up this match. Reigns and Drew in a match to determine who is the top champion in WWE? – YES PLEASE! I’m certain there will be involvement from the outside with Jey and possibly Orton and/or The Miz, but I hope it doesn’t distract from the match itself, because these two can certainly deliver a 5* match. It’s tough to pick the winner as there are arguments and scenarios that make sense for either man to win, but I’m going to with Reigns. I like the idea of him becoming unbearable after beating Drew.
Winner: Roman Reigns
This is going to be the definition of a hard hitting match as the two of them are just big brutes and I’m just going to love every second of it. This match is one match I didn’t know I needed, but glad that it’s happening. The winner is definitely going to be us watching this match for sure. I wonder if they are going to change the match on Talking Smack or at Survivor Series as a traditional match might not be able to contain it. If they do then I see it going Roman’s way but if it isn’t then I see it going Drew’s way.
Winner Drew McIntyre
So they didn’t do the invasions they usually do to try to curb exposure to Covid-19, yet they’re doing this? It’s total insanity in my book. Because of that I’m just going to pick someone to win and move on.
Queen’s Predicted Winner – Big E
This was a late addition and I could care less about it. We have no idea who will be in it, no doubt mostly the jobbers, and it will be on the kickoff. Kickoff rarely matters in Survivor Series so I feel like they won’t count this unless someone that isn’t a midcard nobody wins it. Since I have no idea who will win this, I guess I will just go with which side will win. Since I write for Raw, the decision is easy for me.
The Winner: Someone from Raw
The amount of talent in this match is just stunning but I’ve never been a huge fan of these kinds of things. It’s just going to be impossible for Gorilla and Heenan to call. It’s also just too hard to keep track of. These things always are. We can be sure that the two members of Demolition and Powers of Pain will be responsible for most of these eliminations. The winner is somewhat harder to predict. I think there’s a good chance Demolition will eliminate Powers of Pain too. WWF just seems to be behind them a little more. Strike Force, in particular, have been Demolition’s most ardent adversaries and in the end, I think they stick around to the very end and make Demolition go away. I love Tito but, in the end, I think Martel will screw Santana.
THE WINNAH – RICK MARTEL
WINNER: LARS SULLIVAN
This is a match I couldn’t care less about and is really unadvisable with all the issues they’ve had in the past with COVID (Raw Underground ring a bell?), but they’ve announced it so I must predict it. I was originally thinking of picking someone from Smackdown to win, that way it makes Drew vs Reigns the deciding match. Then I thought I’d create a scenario I’d like to see (but won’t happen). I want to see Andrade win, then seeing as he has no brand, Raw and Smackdown would fight over his signature to claim they are the winning brand, but would also boost Andrade, who for me should be at the top of the card.
I have no clue how many people are in it or who is going to be in it. I’m just going to guess that Big Show and maybe Retribution is going to be in it, and hopefully if Big E is in it then I will pick him to win.
Winner possibly Big E
