Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch def. Drake Maverick & Killian Dain to retain the NXT Tag Team Titles

The Way are in the Gargano house and they start A Very Gargano Christmas. Johnny plays the piano as the rest of the Way come in. Theory comes in and tries to eat a cookie but Johnny tells him to put it down. He then tells Theory to open a present and it is a special protein powder he made. Theory then says something embarrassing and NXT goes to commercial.

A video is played of Kyle O’Reilly and Finn Balor rewatching their match from TakeOver 31. The each provide comments on it from their point of views. They each start talking how they felt during certain moves and moments in the match as well. They each make declarations for what will happen during their rematch.

Tyler Rust is backstage with Malcolm Bivens and Bivens says that Rust had the best debut in NXT history. Bivens then says Rust will show how dynamic he is tonight.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott def. Jake Atlas

Adam Cole and Roderick Strong are interviewed backstage about Kyle O’Reilly’s chances against Finn Balor. Cole says that Kyle will be able to beat him in the rematch and Roderick says the same. Velveteen Dream then shows up and talks about how Kyle is the head of the Undisputed Era now. Cole then slaps him and tells him that the Undisputed Era has no leader and wants a match against him tonight.

Timothy Thatcher is backstage and cuts a promo on Tommaso Ciampa. He talks about how Ciampa wanted to fight him and how they had a match at TakeOver. Thatcher says he wants a fight with Ciampa and that he will take liberties with Leon Ruff unless Ciampa stops him.

Rhea Ripley def. Dakota Kai. Raquel Gonzalez comes into the ring after the match and the two share words before brawling in the ring. Referees and officials come into the ring to separate the two.

A Very Gargano Christmas continues and Indi Hartwell opens her gift. She opens and sees it is an empty PS5 box and Johnny explains the gift. He says she has proven herself loyal and dubs her “Indi Wrestling” and she loves the nickname.

Toni Storm is interviewed backstage and she talks about how she beat Rhea Ripley last week. She says she wants to face Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship and that Io cannot beat her. She then recalls how she beat her in the Mae Young Classic and that she is Io’s problem.

Another training video for Xia Li and Boa is played. Xia is shown practicing on a wing chun dummy and Boa is shown absorbing strikes from kendo sticks and Xia Li. We then get a short shot of their sensei as the segment ends.

Bronson Reed def. Ashante “Thee” Adonis

Io Shirai comes out to the ring and sits in a chair in the middle of the ring. She calls out Toni Storm and then she is attacked from behind by Mercedes Martinez. Io tries to fight back by Mercedes uses her size and throws her into the commentary table and breaks the front of it as she puts he through it.

NXT returns to a Very Gargano Christmas and it shows Candice LeRae opening her gift. Candice opens to reveal that it is a piece of Shotzi Blackheart’s old tank and Candice loves it. The four then take a picture together and wish everybody a Merry Christmas.

Leon Ruff def. Timothy Thatcher. Thatcher attacks Ruff after the match and continues to call for Tommaso Ciampa and Ciampa arrives and hits him with Willow’s Bell. Ciampa then gets in his face and tells him that he will see him in the Fight Pit.

Damian Priest cuts a promo on Karrion Kross. He says he hasn’t seen the Kross that everybody is talking about because he is still standing. He is ready to take it to Kross at New Year’s Evil.

Dexter Lumis is backstage working on a piece of art and it is of Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez. It shows they will face each other in a Last Woman Standing match at New Year’s Evil.

Tyler Rust def. Ariya Daivari

Leon Ruff is interviewed backstage and he talks about how he is still happy over his win over Timothy Thatcher. He then says he got a rematch for the NXT North American Championship for next week and is ready to continue the curse of Johnny Gargano not being able to defend a title.

Karrion Kross cuts a promo on Damian Priest to reply to what he said about him earlier. He talks about how Priest looks at himself and that he made a huge mistake by challenging him. Kross says he wants to get the NXT title back but he has to take care of him first.

Adam Cole def. Velveteen Dream
