WWE NXT Results: 

Candice LeRae def. Shotzi Blackheart

Finn Balor is in the ring as NXT returns and he talks about how he is still the NXT Champion. He gives Kyle O’Reilly props for their match last week but says that Kyle is not on his level. He talks about how people will be coming for him and is then interrupted by Pete Dunne and he is accompanied by Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Dunne talks about how Finn is the standard for European wrestling and he feels like that is only the case because Dunne hasn’t taken the title yet. Dunne wants his shot and Lorcan and Burch attack Finn. Finn fights them off but the numbers game is too much for Finn as Dunne, Lorcan and Burch gain the upper hand. Kyle O’Reilly and the rest of the Undisputed Era come out to the aid of Finn and clear the ring.

Johnny Gargano is interviewed backstage and he talks about his match with Dexter Lumis. He is ready to beat him tonight and is reminded about how he lost last week. Austin Theory then appears behind him and hands him an envelope from Lumis. It is a drawing of Gargano crying and one of Theory from when he was hit buy Shotzi Blackheart’s missile. They both storm off as NXT goes to commercial.

Grizzled Young Veterans def. Ever-Rise in Round 1 of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

A recap package of the Last Woman Standing match between Raquel Gonzalez and Rhea Ripley is played. Raquel adds her thoughts to it and how she is done with Rhea now. She has her eyes on Io Shirai and the NXT Women’s Championship and says she is the baddest woman in NXT now.

Shotzi Blackheart is interviewed backstage about her loss to Candice LeRae. She says she is disappointed but will turn her attention to the women’s Dusty Classic. She says she needs someone that she went to war with and Ember Moon comes in. Ember says she is more than happy to be her partner and they will win the trophy.

Johnny Gargano def. Dexter Lumis. Lumis puts Austin Theory in his Silence submission after the match and is then attacked by Gargano. KUSHIDA comes out to help and he puts Gargano in his submission finish. KUSHIDA hands Gargano the North American Championship and makes it known he wants a shot.

Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch are walking backstage and they say that the Undisputed Era have forgotten that they now run NXT. They have more plans and then walk off.

A video is played of Wade Barrett interviewing Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa about their upcoming Fight Pit. Thatcher says he is cleared and Ciampa is curious about the injury he had. Ciampa talks about how Thatcher has had this match before and that he is going into enemy territory by facing Thatcher in the Fight Pit. Thatcher says he knows the Fight Pit and Ciampa then says he doesn’t fear the Fight Pit. Thatcher says he had no issue with Ciampa and Ciampa says he went after him because he is a garbage coach. They both are ready to tear each other apart in the Fight Pit next week.

The Undisputed Era are interviewed backstage and they are not worried about Dunne, Lorcan and Burch interfering. They say they have had people come after them their entire careers and Kyle says he will be out there with them. They plan on beating Breezango tonight and walk off.

MSK def. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Jake Atlas in Round 1 of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

A video package for the teams for the Women’s Dusty Classic is played. The teams that were announced so far are Mercedes Martinez & Toni Storm, Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart, The Way (Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae), and Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro. It is also announced that the first round will begin next week with the teams of Strom/Martinez and Carter/Catanzaro facing each other.

Scarlett is shown sitting at a table reading tarot cards. She is speaking a foreign language and it is clear she and Karrion Kross want Finn Balor.

Xia Li def. jobber. Xia is then instructed by her sensei after the match to beat down her opponent and she obliges.

Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter cut a promo backstage about their match with Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez next week. They plan on winning and advancing in the women’s Dusty Classic. They know they are the underdogs and are prepared to make history by being the first winners.

A video is shown of a skirmish being broken up between Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Jake Atlas in the backstage area. Officials and referees are in the middle and so is Bronson Reed. Reed gets in Swerve’s face and the two share words before Swerve leaves.
