Madison Rayne Announces Her Retirement

Madison Rayne announced last night at Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill pre-show that she is retiring from wrestling and will be leaving Impact for a full-time job outside of wrestling.

Rayne had an illustrious career, mainly in TNA/Impact, winning the Knockouts Championship five times, as well as the tag team titles twice. Rayne also made a brief appearance in WWE, losing in the first round of the Mae Young Classic to Mercedes Martinez back in 2018, before going back to Impact to join the announce booth with Josh Mathews.

Josh Mathews has also left the announce booth after signing a new multi-year deal to serve as a Senior Producer. The commentary team as seen last night at Hard to Kill, will now be represented by Matt Striker and D’Lo Brown.

Lord Lewis Dictates: I really enjoyed Rayne on commentary, her chemistry with Josh Mathews (her real life husband) really made it fun, seeing her make little jabs towards Josh and it was clear she enjoyed it behind the booth too. While I only really started watching Impact last year and never really got to see much of Rayne in the ring, what I have seen, shows she’s a true legend in Impact and will be sorely missed.
