WWE NXT Results:

William Regal is in the ring for his major announcements. A video is played about the history of their TakeOver events and it is revealed that a two-night TakeOver will happen. The first night will be on a Wednesday and the next will be on the following night. It will be called “Stand and Deliver” and the first night will be on the USA Network and the following night will be on the Peacock Network. He then points to the women on the stage and he talks up how they have stepped up time and time again. He calls for Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez to enter the ring and reminds them of how Adam Pearce screwed them. He says he is tired of the decisions being made for him and he rewards them with the first ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Dakota and Raquel get on the mic and they are overwhelmed. Dakota talks about how they beat everybody in the division and how they are champions. Raquel says this is the first step to taking over the whole world and how they will reign as champions for a long time. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart then appear and they congratulate them on being champions. They then say they want to be the first challengers for the titles and they want the match tonight. Regal then makes the match official.

Io Shirai def. Toni Storm to retain the NXT Women’s Championship

Finn Balor is sitting in his dressing room and he talks about what happened with Adam Cole. He talks about how he was held back by referees and how Cole does not have anybody to back him up this time. He reminds us that he beat Cole to win the title and plans on retaining tonight.

LA Knight is interviewed backstage about the events from last week. He laughs at how people thought he would make his in-ring debut last week and says he might do it next week. Bronson Reed then appears and grabs him and referees and officials separate the two. They trade words and Bronson wants a match with him.

Pete Dunne def. Jake Atlas. Dunne gets on the mic after the match and talks about how this is the time of the year to step up. He then says he is the best technical wrestler in the world and dares someone to prove him wrong.

Imperium is backstage and they talk directly to Timothy Thatcher. He talks about how the world is taking about them and how they have a long history prior to NXT. Barthel  wants Thatcher to come back and Aichner says they are doing this for him. Aichner even says they will take in Ciampa and how they are taking over.

Leon Ruff cuts a promo backstage about how people keep calling him “lucky” and how he is tired of it. He said he wasn’t lucky when he beat Swerve and plans on doing it again next week.

Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart def. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles

Adam Cole is in his locker room and explains why he has done what he has done. He says he had to put Kyle O’Reilly in his place and reminded Roderick Strong about his place. He says he is the reason why the Undisputed Era was what they were. Cole then talks about the title match with Finn Balor and how TakeOver has come early. He then says it was always about the title and scoffs at Balor being considered the best NXT Champion. He recalls all the people he has beaten and how they haven’t seen anything yet with him as champion.

Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon return backstage and are greeted by the members of the women’s locker room. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell do not partake in it and “boo” instead. They join Johnny Gargano and he asks where Austin Theory is. Theory asks him about what the therapist had to say and Johnny reiterates what the therapist said. Theory is angry and tears his shirt off before looking for Dexter Lumis. Candice looks back towards where Shotzi and Ember are before leaving.

Xia Li def. Kayden Carter by DQ when Kacy Catanzaro attacks Xia with her crutch. Kacy continues the attack when Boa comes in the ring to stop her. He catches her crutch and breaks it. He gets a signal from Mei Ying to do more but Kayden saves Kacy from any possible harm.

Jordan Devlin is shown cutting a promo and he talks about loving this time of year. He talks about being the NXT Cruiserweight champion and how his travel ban has been lifted. He then calls out Santos Escobar and will come to NXT next week to find out who the real NXT Cruiserweight Champion is.

A vignette for Zoey Stark is played and she talks about growing up. She talks about how wrestling has been her release from everything and how she has worked hard to get to WWE. She talks about being ready to show everybody what she can do and how she can work any style. She talks about how hard work pays off and there is no limit to what she can do.

Santos Escobar is talking to William Regal backstage and he takes issue with what Jordan Devlin had to say. Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza show up and tell him their music is playing to get to the ring. He tells them they can handle it while he continues his talk with Regal.

Legado del Fantasma def. Grizzled Young Veterans. Grizzled Young Veterans were distracted by what looked to be Breezango but it was actually MSK in disguise. MSK attacks them after the match and Breezango attacks Legado after the match. MSK and Breezango stand tall in the ring.

Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai are interviewed about losing the tag titles. They talk about how they made history and then Io Shirai shows up. She tells Raquel that she wants her next and Raquel eyes the Women’s Championship. Raquel warns Io about having a match with her as they stare each other down.

Timothy Thatcher is interviewed backstage about what Imperium had to say earlier. Tommaso Ciampa appears and says that he declines their invite and wants a piece of WALTER. He says he will call them out next week and Thatcher stays silent.

Finn Balor def. Adam Cole to retain the NXT Championship. Kyle O’Reilly appeared ringside during the match and that distracted Cole which allowed Balor to win. Kyle attacks Cole after the match and a referee tries to pull him off but is unsuccessful. O’Reilly continues his attack on Cole as referees try to keep them separated. Kyle chases Cole to the back and Balor is left in the ring. Balor turns around and has a stare down with Karrion Kross as NXT comes to a close.
