The following is information that I have received from an inside source that is familiar with the move of AEW Dark to Universal Orlando. You will NOT find this anywhere else!
I am able to confirm that the tapings of AEW Dark will be taking place at the former location of the Blue Man Group, which used to be Nickelodeon Studios. This will actually potentially allow more than the original reported 1,400 guests to each show if set up correctly. In addition, admission will definitely be free and available on a first come-first serve basis until capacity is met.
As of right now, AEW Dark will not begin taping until November from Universal. This is because Universal will have Halloween Horror Nights running until then and they don’t want the tapings to interfere with the event. There is a possibility it starts sooner, but we won’t know until it happens for sure.
To answer the question as to if they will be taping episodes and airing later, the current plan is to actually air all episodes of AEW Dark LIVE on YouTube each week. If correct, I would expect each episode to be longer than 1 hour or to have several dark matches following the airing to keep fans happy and draw them.
