According to numerous sources, Impact Wrestling has reportedly signed two former WWE Superstars to contracts. It appears that both Adam Scherr (FKA Braun Strowman) and Buddy Matthews (FKA Buddy Murphy/Murphy) have signed with Impact and are set to make their debuts in a few weeks once their non-compete clauses expire.
This comes on the heels of Impact Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore making several references to both Scherr and Matthews on social media. In a clip on Twitter with Jade Chung from a few days ago, D’Amore can be seen and heard saying to tune in for Buddy Murphy’s debut on Impact:

In addition to this, D’Amore has been referencing Bound for Glory as “Braun for Glory”, which is being taken to mean that Scherr will be either debuting or in Impact by the show on October 23rd. Scherr also posted the following on Twitter after the comments were made:
Remember in life if you’re gonna do something make sure you make a impact. Carve your name in stone!!! #Titan

Does this cement the idea that both are headed for Impact for sure? We won’t know for certain until at least September 1st since that is the day the non-compete clauses officially expire. What do you think about this? Would it be a good move for them? Sound off in the comments below and let us know!
Jester’s Jest: Personally, I like the move by both. By signing with Impact, they will be permitted to appear in other promotions, including AEW and NJPW if they desire. That is something that Matthews has wanted to be able to do and go out on the Indie scene as much as possible, something WWE prohibited him from doing.
