WR Predicts – Extreme Rules

WWE Women’s SmackDown Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs Bianca Belair

Queen

We all know VKM is hot on Becky, so there’s no way she’s dropping the strap this soon.  I do expect a solid match between these two here, possibly a show stealing match, if Becky is ready to go at that level.  Bianca is a strong wrestler and can help if Becky has any ring rust, but I’m willing to bet that the two of them have been working the ring together to give us a great match this weekend.  Bianca will be getting the strap back, but not right now.  It will happen, but maybe she will go to Raw in the draft?

Winner – Becky

Noble Natalie

Normally I would be all for Becky, however the way she got the title was disrespectful.  Bianca was a very good champion and she did get all her accolades in a quarter of the time Becky earned hers.  She is tough, strong and beautiful.  Both can talk much better than most of the men.  And speaking of men, Becky you’re a WOMAN,  which is much tougher to be than some measly old man.  Yes I know its saying and she has taken it for her “theme”  but hey I don’t think most men are all that tough or strong.  I’d like to see one give birth.  Bianca to win just because she was robbed!  This will be the best match of the night.

Winner & new SD Women’s Champion – Bianca Belair

Jester Jason

This will devolve into a seriously physical match over time. However, I believe that at some point, Becky will snap and get herself disqualified allowing her to retain the Championship.

Winner by DQ – Bianca Belair

United States Championship
Damian Priest (c) vs Jeff Hardy vs Sheamus

Queen

I truly don’t understand why WWE keeps pushing Jeff Hardy the way they are.  I keep hearing that they’re letting him run with his Willow character, but I have less than no interest in Jeff Hardy or Willow.  Only diehard Jeff Hardy fans seem to care at all at this point, and while I get it, his ring work has been looking rather rough lately.  Anyway, I’ll be shocked if WWE pulls the strap off Priest right now.  He’s soaring high and having a fantastic first main roster championship run and I see more for him.  As much as I love Sheamus, I’d love to see Priest have a feud with another younger superstar, really tear the place up with a jaw-dropping feud.  Not saying Sheamus/Priest hasn’t been really good, but I know Priest has so much more to give and I want to see him working with different people than Sheamus and Jeff Hardy.

Winner – Damian Priest

Noble Natalie

Jeff needs to leave WWE, retire or go to some other promotion.  Sheamus is very good, but its time to drop the mask.  Now Damian is the future, he’s good and he’s fun to watch.  He has a voice I can listen to even with a migraine (it’s nice and deep and rather smooth).  It will be an interesting match and I hope Jeff doesn’t get hurt too much.  Damian is going to win and retain.

Winner – Damian Priest

Jester Jason

It’s been in the works for a while now for Hardy to convert over to his Willow character. During the pandemic, Jeff and WWE worked on an entrance, theming, and character to debut when they returned in front of live crowds. I believe this will get set into motion with this match. Expect to see Jeff get destroyed by both Sheamus and Damian Priest during the match, leaving it between Sheamus and Priest for the Title. I can’t see Priest dropping the Title already, especially with the push he’s been finally getting as of late.

Winner – Damian Priest

WWE Women’s Raw Championship
Charlotte Flair (c) vs Alexa Bliss

Queen

I know this PPV has more problems than not, but I don’t expect it to be WM27.  In other words, I don’t expect all champions to retain their belts.  Yes, it’s partially my anti-Flair (both father and daughter, for different reasons) feelings, but also because WWE is building Charlotte to have as many championship runs as her father, in 1/10 of the time.  So why not pull the strap off Charlotte and watch her have another hissy fit about being the best in the company, blah, blah, blah.  Anyway, this is supposed to be Extreme Rules and I would love for this match to be made a lot more extreme than almost all the other gimmick-free matches on this card with a gimmick or stip.  Then again, Lily is a doll, so anything she does shouldn’t count as a DQ, right?  Honestly I hope there’s a bit of Lily magic that brings Charlotte to losing her strap yet again.  My theory is that if she can reach her father’s number of championships she can stop with the gold and do something we actually care about.  I doubt it, but I’m so sick of her plastic face that no longer emotes, and her ego that just won’t stop!

Winner & new Raw Women’s Champion – Alexa Bliss w/ Lily

Noble Natalie

Charlotte Flair or as I like to call her The Plastic Princess is boring, not just boring but off-putting.  She is not entertaining and has so much plastic in her that her face barely moves out of its wrinkles due to the plastic in it.   Alexa Bliss has been killing it with this character, I love it, she really has some great acting chops and she’s not bad in the ring.  I’d rather watch her than The Plastic Princess any day of the week.  She’s better on the mic and in the ring.  Flair is good at winning belts and then losing them.  I personally like the losing them part which she is going to do tonite.  Alexa for the win.

Winner & new Raw Women’s Champion – Alexa Bliss

Jester Jason

Between the push Bliss has with Lily and the issues surrounding the Flair name right now, I don’t see how WWE can keep the Title on Charlotte. By taking the Title off Charlotte, it will allow WWE to distance themselves from the name and controversies (even though they’re not Charlotte’s doing) and allow her to return in a few weeks once it’s cooled down a little bit, possibly without the Flair name. During the match, I expect Lily to “get involved” somehow and cause issues for Charlotte.

Winner & new Raw Women’s Champion – Alexa Bliss

WWE Universal Championship (Extreme Rules Match)
Roman Reigns (c) vs “The Demon” Finn Balor

Queen

The ONLY match on the card that has anything at all extreme to do with it, which means that numerous people will be getting involved.  Of course we will see the Usos and BL getting involved, but I hope someone unexpected also gets involved.  There’s a whole list of NXT guys who could easily cause problems for this match, and make it that much more fun.  With the Draft coming very soon, this would be the perfect time for a couple of the guys to appear and get involved.  Not throwing out any names for that, because I honestly have no clue.  The two people I’d love to see get involved who aren’t on SD are Keith Lee and Karrion Kross.  I think both would be much more interesting on SD right now.

While I’d love to see Demon Balor win the strap and really leave Reigns in a pickle, I don’t see it happening.  I’m sure VKM wants Reigns versus BL soon, so Reigns will be retaining.  Yawn.

Winner – Roman Reigns

Noble Natalie

Ok the Demon has not been beaten to my knowledge and Roman can suck it.  I’ve talked enough about him, not talking anymore.  Finn is going to win and it’s about time, unfortunately, because VKM has a boner for Roman, it will be in some way that the title will not change hands.

Winner – Demon (something screwy)

Jester Jason

It’s a given that Brock Lesnar appears and interferes in this match because of the stipulation having been added. For that reason, I have him going after Reigns outside the ring and allowing Balor to get the win. This will set up the match for Crown Jewel next month, as well as keep Brock a face character, which is the plan. It will also lead to the turn we’ve been expecting from Paul Heyman against Reigns.

Winner & new WWE Universal Champion – “The Demon” Finn Balor

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (c) vs The Street Profits

Queen

All four of these guys are great, and they’re both entertaining to watch, but I want something more, something meatier than a simple tag match.  This is supposed to be Extreme Rules, not the same bloody match we could easily see on any given SD.  VKM claimed he had all sorts of amazing storylines for us when the fans were back, and while there have been some decent things, the Usos being SD Tag Team Champs after another DUI isn’t my idea of an amazing storyline.  This isn’t my idea of amazing PPV booking either, especially for Extreme Rules.

Winners – Usos

Noble Natalie

Well I typically like the Usos, but I’d prefer they tell Roman to take a hike.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Street Profits.  They are entertaining, both in the ring and on the mic and I love how Ford looks at his wife. That alone is wonderful.  The Street Profits are going to win so that the Uso’s can continue to be verbally abused by Roman.

Winners – Usos

Jester Jason

The fall of The Bloodline begins with this match. I believe something screwy happens during this match like outside interference and will lead to The Street Profits being able to pick up the win. By doing this, during the Draft, we will see Roman Reigns drafted to Raw while The Usos remain on SmackDown.

Winners & new SmackDown Tag Team Champions – The Street Profits

Women’s Singles Match
Liv Morgan vs Carmella

Queen

I think it’s time for Liv to get the upper hand and really beat Carmella, showing that she’s a force to be reckoned with in WWE.  It would be a great direction to take things, having Mella brought down.  Mella has stated that she likes being pretty, but wants something with more meat to it.  That she’d love to do something really interesting with her character, and this could be an interesting way to go.  They could really ramp up this feud, leading to a Hair vs Hair Match.  Or, how about loser can’t wear makeup for a month!  Something really juicy.  Liv already has a really short shag haircut which looks a bit silly with her extensions.  Mella would probably find it interesting and liberating to go without makeup for a month.  It’s absolutely meatier than being the pretty girl.  Either way, it’s time for the underdog to come out on top of a bigger match, something she’d not done, possibly ever.

Winner – Liv Morgan

Noble Natalie

Carmella is beige and predictable.  I find her boring right now.  Liv I enjoy.  Live to win.  Oh yeah while I like Liv I’m not all that interested in this match.

Winner – Liv Morgan

Jester Jason

A returning Liv Morgan needs a push as she has the talent to lead and the following from the fans. By getting the win, it could help with that happening.

Winner – Liv Morgan
